2011
After The Dance began in a small 8' x 8' space of a resale boutique in 2011. For the first two years, the focus was exclusively on selling resale items, laying the foundation for what would grow into something much bigger.

After The Dance is a dancewear store offering both new and gently used items to help make dance more affordable for families. Currently, only new items are available online, while gently used items can be found in-store. The store is built on the belief that no child should have to quit dance because of financial struggles. Through passion, faith, and community support, After The Dance has grown into a reminder of what’s possible when compassion meets determination.
Angel grew up dancing, starting lessons at the age of two. Her parents worked hard, but paying for dance was often difficult. With the support of family members who helped with costs, Angel was able to stay in dance and develop a deep connection to it. Dance became her constant—a lasting source of joy and stability.
After graduating from high school, Angel focused on marriage and motherhood. When her daughter turned two and showed an interest in dance, Angel felt inspired to return to the dance world. She began teaching at the same studio where her daughter took classes and continued teaching there for several years.
In 2011, Angel wanted to find a way to give back to the community. Knowing from personal experience how difficult it could be to afford dance, she dreamed of creating a space where families could find affordable dancewear. Her friend Beth, who owned a boutique, was a key part of this plan. Angel approached her with the idea of renting a small space in the boutique to sell gently used dancewear. Beth, a longtime dance mom herself, loved the idea. Together, they shared a vision and began turning that dream into a reality.
Angel prayed for guidance, unsure of what to name the store. One day, while shopping at Goodwill with her mom, she spotted a picture with the words “After The Dance” written on it. For Angel, it was a sign from God that this was the right path, and the name felt perfect.
That same year, After The Dance officially opened its doors. After a few years of success, the only local dancewear store selling new items closed down. Angel and Beth decided to partner, combining their efforts and expanding After The Dance into a store offering both new and gently used dancewear.
Today, After The Dance is more than just a store—it's a place where families find support, encouragement, and the tools their dancers need to succeed. Through hard work, friendship, and faith, Angel and Beth have built a space that reflects their belief that dance should always remain accessible for everyone.
